September in Milan: Fashion Week, art and new events in the city

September is one of the liveliest months to experience Milan. After the summer, the city comes back to life with fashion, art, exhibitions and events, leading up to Milan Fashion Week, from 22 to 28 September 2026, which this year opens with Vogue World Milan.

It is also the perfect time to discover Milan beyond the city centre: the Tortona Design District and MUDEC, the Navigli, Fondazione Prada, CityLife and the many galleries and spaces dedicated to contemporary art.

House of Frames, between Wagner and De Angeli, offers a peaceful and well-connected base for experiencing Milan and its September events, with the city centre easily accessible by metro and some of Milan’s most interesting neighbourhoods close by.
